Natural Carob Powder, GMO FreeCarob Powder is a natural light brown powder which is often added to brownies, homemade chocolates and bars. It is made from dried, ground carob pods which come from a tree native to the Mediterranean region, North Africa and Asia. Although carob is often substituted for cacao it has a very different flavour and as carob contains no caffeine or theobromine it makes a good choice for people who are sensitive to it. Carob has a rich ‘caramelly’ taste which makes it great for children and adults alike. If you enjoy experimenting with natural desserts then this is a must for your natural store cupboard.
